Due to the large size of this event, distances between sessions can be considerable. If you can get along without a wheelchair but feel that you may need one to navigate the distances at the conference, electric scooters can be rented from https://scootaround.com/en/washington-dc. Mobility devices will be dropped off at the Information Booth (Grand Lobby) of the Convention Center. Should you arrive and determine services will be needed, the ambassadors at the desk are available to assist with your rental needs.

The public sidewalks serving the Walter E. Washington Convention Center feature curb cuts for wheelchair access. Automatic doors are located at the Mt. Vernon Place, L Street, and Metro entrances to the Center. Inside the center, meeting rooms, exhibit halls and common areas are all served by conveniently located elevators. Telephones, drinking fountains and restrooms throughout the building are wheelchair accessible.

If you are blind or visually impaired and require an aide or personal assistant to help you navigate the Annual Meeting, NCTM will register your aide as a complimentary guest (if the aide is not a teacher). Information must be sent to [emailprotected] by September 27, 2023.

Individuals traveling from outside of the United States toattend a NCTM event may request a Letter of Invitation to the event. The lettermay be used to support an individual's request for organizational orgovernmental clearance to attend the event.

Individuals requesting a Letter of Invitation to an NCTM eventmust be fully registered - including payment in full - for the NCTM event forwhich they are requesting an invitation. Individuals do not have to be a memberof NCTM to request a Letter of Invitation.

A Letter of Invitation issued by NCTM will:

• Be addressed directly to theindividual requesting the invitation
• Include the name, date, andlocation of the NCTM event
• Indicate the individual'sresponsibility for all expenses related to his/her participation in theNCTM event (including registration, travel and accommodations)
• Be signed by an authorized NCTMRepresentative
• All letters of invitation willbe sent via email. If you require a printed letter, please contact [emailprotected].Additional fees may apply.

Yes. NCTM offersgroups of five or more a significant discount. Each group registration mustinclude a primary contact and separate email addresses for each attendee.Groups paying for their conference registration with a purchase order canregister online and upload the purchase order form to expedite the process.

Individuals payingwith a purchase order can register online and upload the purchase order form toexpedite the process. Purchase order can also be mailed to NCTM ConferenceRegistration, P.O. Box 844277, Dallas, TX 75284-4277 or faxed to 1 (888)289-9844 (toll-free) / 1 (514) 289-9844 (international). PO’s should be received within 30 days of registering for the conference.

NCTM MET grantsoffer annual funding opportunities for teacher professional development. MET grant application deadlines are May 1 and November 1 and include financial assistance for first-time attendees at an NCTM Annual Meeting andExposition.

The2023 NCTM Annual Meeting & Exposition will be held in person, October 25-28, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. There is no online component for thisevent.

Dress for this event is business casual. Comfortable shoes are recommended.The average forecasted weather in Washington, DC in late October is around 65 degrees, with chances of rain at any time. While business casual is suggested for the event, keep in mind the Convention Center and hotel meeting room temperatures will fluctuate depending on size of room and attendance. Coat Racks will be made available throughout the convention space. Bag and coat check will not be available at the event.

A certificate of attendance will be available to event attendees. It may be used to demonstrate attendance at the NCTM Annual Meeting & Exposition in Washington, DC.

Thisis a "paper-light" event. No program book will be distributed andthere will be limited onsite handouts. Materials for education sessions andprogramming, including a daily schedule, will be available on the NCTM websitefor download in advance of the event. A fully searchable program is alsoavailable online and throughthe event mobile app.

NCTM is excited to announce we are partnering with international film and broadcasting company, WebsEdge, to bringNCTM TVto the 2023 Annual Meeting & Exposition.

NCTM TVis a great platform to highlight the hard work of educators and organizations committed to elevating the quality of mathematics education in the U.S. and provides an opportunity to learn about innovative programs and initiatives that are helping to transform mathematics teaching and learning.

NCTM TVwill produce daily episodes throughout the conference. Each episode will feature:

• Conference News:Onsite,NCTM TVwill film interviews, capture session highlights, and hear attendee insights and reactions from around the conference.
• In-Depth Reports:Five-minute pre-recorded documentary-style films will be featured, from universities, institutions, and organizations highlighting programs, case studies, and ongoing initiatives that are making a difference.

At the meeting,NCTM TVwill be on screens around the venue, in selected attendee hotels on dedicated TV channels, and available online through video and social media platforms
